The Post Office has confirmed that Moorfields Post Office on Moorland Road will be moved in to the McColls store.

The current branch will close at 17:30 on Thursday 22 May 2014, with the new branch opening at McColls, 46 – 48 Moorland Road at 13:00 on Thursday 5 June 2014.

Commenting Cllr David Dixon said: “Both Cllr Will Sandry and I were determined that we kept a Post Office on Moorland Road. We are delighted that this has been agreed and we are pleased by the extended opening times and improved accessibility that the new branch will offer our community.
